Nicolás Di Blasi director of Telemundo’s El Chema: We are making our biggest effort to launch the series at the end of November

The Venezuelan Nicolás Di Blasi is the director of El Chema, Telemundo’s new superseries in co-production with Argos. The fiction program narrates the life and escape from prison of the drug dealer El Chema Venegas, known for his appearance up to the third season of the series El Señor de los Cielos.”We are in the midst of the pre-production process, finishing the signing of contracts with the rest of the cast that will accompany Mauricio and Mariana in front of the cameras,” said Di Blasi. Mauricio Ochmann will star in the series, in the role of José María Venegas, best known as El Chema, and Mariana Seoane will play the part of Mabel Castaño.”This production will be entirely shot in Mexico. Most of the scenes will be shot in Querétaro, and some in Mexico City. We will start on the third week of August and are making our biggest effort for the series to be launched at the end of November. Di Blasi has directed series like Dueños del Paraíso and Eva la Trailera for Telemundo, where he Works since 2010. He also directed telenovelas for RCTV in Venezuela and for RCN in Colombia. Additionaly, he was part of the production team of Steven Spielberg’s Aracnofobia.Luis Medina, CEO of Uno Productions, represents the Venezuelan director Nicolás Di Blasi.
